Our primary partner, The Angel Project, is a non-profit rescue organization dedicated to saving and caring for animals in need.Their team tirelessly patrols streets, abandoned areas, and high-risk locations to rescue stray and injured dogs.They provide immediate medical attention, food, and shelter, ensuring that every dog gets a second chance at a better life.

Beyond rescue efforts, they work on rehabilitation and rehoming, helping dogs find loving forever homes. Their mission also includes community outreach, spreading awareness about responsible pet ownership, and advocating against animal cruelty. The Angel Project was founded out of necessity—because the dogs and animals in Matzikama had no dedicated rescue team. 

Unlike larger cities, towns such as Vredendal, Klawer, and Vanrhynsdorp lack an SPCA or nearby rescue organization to assist animals in distress. 

The Angel Project operates solely through the sale of handcrafted coffee pod angels, along with food and financial donations. However, with only this organization working to provide rescue, medical care, and nourishment for these animals, the demand far exceeds the available resources. Urgent support is needed to help cover veterinary bills, food, and essential care to continue saving lives.

• DONATE FOOD - Donating bulk food to shelters in need and feeding street & foster dogs weekly.
• EDUCATING PET OWNERS - Educating the owners and offering food packets on a regular basis. Making sure our recent visits have enough food and water.
• STOP OVERPOPULATION - sterilisation of dogs and cats to control the overpopulation of unwanted animals in Matzikama.
• RESCUE ABUSED DOGS - Help dogs that have suffered prolonged abuse and implementing measures to prevent further abuse.
• VETERINARY CARE -Covering emergency treatments, vaccinations, sterilizations deworming street dogs. Also receive tick and flea treatment.
• FOSTER DOGS - Take care of abused / unwantd home.
• STOP DOG FIGHTING - Taking action to rescue and rehabilitate them. Funding their vet bills for surgery
